Pete has played around the Liverpool music scene in various bands from the age of
13 including gigs at the world famous Cavern Club in the 60s.
Having been brought up on a diet of country music which was brought home from the USA by his
seafaring father and brothers, it was inevitable that he would be playing it sooner rather than later.
Pete did well locally in a duo called Pinto. He then moved further a field with his good
friend Dave Evans (see foto) in another duo called $mith & Jone$. After that Pete toured with a band called Daytona for 5 years which took
him the length and breadth of the country with John Francis and Davey Inglis.
By the late 90s, Pete had established himself as a prominent song writer on the circuit by having
three top selling albums written by himself and Allan Crookes (formally of Poacher and Northwind)

Their first album entitled "Under the Moon" won album of the year in "The Peoples Awards" for
The North Country Music Magazine in 1998. The writing partnership went on to produce 2 other albums; "Special Delivery" and
"After All That, This".

"One More Broken Hearted Man" from the Special Delivery album went to #4 in the European Hot Disc chart in 2000,
and continues to be a popular track around Europe and the US and Canada.

Tracks from "After All That, This" had airplay
throughout the UK and Europe. It recieved excellent reviews from British and European radio stations and from magazine critics.
Pete also performed with his daughter Katie before she moved to New Zealand in a band called The Clintons
and she would regularly join her Dad on stage when he was doing solo gigs.
