As you may have heard, I am currently living in New Zealand and
have spent the last year travelling and working over here. I have also travelled to Australia and spent Christmas in
Perth with some family who live there. I have one more year left to travel and work before my visa runs out and
then I will have to work out what to do next!!! Below is a picture of a volcanic attraction not far from where I live in Rotorua....

Before I left on my travels I was in a 4 piece band with my dad, we played
a few gigs and then had to call it quits when I bought my plane ticket! Below are some pics of us all playin' our hearts
out....

So guys, whilst I've been in NZ I have managed to find lots of live music.
Country music is not as huge over here but they do have a country music radio station and a local line dancing venue.
I have managed to get on stage over here too!! I started working in
a bar called 'The Pig and Whistle' (an old police station!) and they have live music 3 nights a week. I ended up playing
guitar with a local act in there a fair few times! I have also visited the local 'open mic night' and anyone
can get up and have a play. The people who run it tend to get up and join in with you on other instruments which is
rather kind of them!!
