Pete has played around the Liverpool music scene in various bands from the age of 13 including gigs at the world famous Cavern Club in the 60s.

Having been brought up on a diet of country music which was brought home from the USA by his seafaring father and brothers, it was inevitable that he would be playing it sooner rather than later.

Pete did well locally in a duo called Pinto. He then moved further a field with his good friend Dave Evans in another duo called $mith & Jone$. After that Pete toured with a band called Daytona for 5 years which took him the length and breadth of the country with John Francis and Davey Inglis.

By the late 90s, Pete had established himself as a prominent song writer on the circuit by having three top selling albums written by himself and Allan Crookes (formally of Poacher and Northwind)
